Little Things Make the Big Things Possible: Introducing Coffee for Good
A great cup of coffee has always been the great connector. It can connect individuals, moments, ideas and communities.
What if people just... bought the coffee they were already going to buy, and a bit of that money went somewhere good, automatically? Think of it like the little blue Tesco tokens, but instead it's coffee beans
That's Coffee for Good.
What it actually is
If you run a sports team, a charity, a school PTA, a choir, an allotment committee — basically any group of people who occasionally need to raise a bit of money for a good reason — you can apply for your own personal code.
Here's what it does:
- Anyone who orders using your code gets 5% off their coffee.
- For every kilo they order, £1 goes straight to your cause.
- It's tracked automatically, and paid out monthly. No invoices, no reminders, no awkward "so, did you sell much coffee this month?" conversations.
That's it. No stock to store, no boxes left over, no one standing outside the Spar with a table and a flask. Just coffee people were going to drink anyway, with a bit of good built into the price.
Why coffee, specifically
We supply the fresh coffee with the option to try a different the single origin every few months so it stays interesting, and we've always tried to keep the pricing honest rather than playing the bulk-discount game everyone else does. £2 per 100g, same price whether you buy a little or a lot.
But also — coffee is a genuinely good thing to build a fundraiser around, because it's not a one-off ask. People don't buy a bag of coffee to be kind once and never again. They buy it because they need coffee, and then they run out, and they buy it again. Which means once your supporters know your code exists, the fund doesn't need topping up — it just keeps ticking along in the background.
How to get your code
- Apply. Tell us a bit about your team, club or cause.
- Get your code. We'll have it set up within a couple of days, along with a few tips on sharing it.
- Share it. Newsletter, group chat, noticeboard — wherever your supporters already look.
- Get funded. £1 a kilo, every month, for as long as people keep using it.
No cost to apply, nothing upfront, nothing to lose.
Open to all
So now it's open to anyone. Sports teams, charities, schools, community groups — if you've got supporters who drink coffee (and let's be honest, most of them do), there's a decent chance this could quietly fund something that matters to you.
Little things make the big things possible. A bag of coffee isn't going to fund a new clubhouse on its own. But a hundred bags, ordered by people who were making a coffee run anyway, adds up faster than you'd think.
If that sounds like your team, charity or group — get in touch and we'll get your code sorted.
